By owning its own federal savings bank, the brand provides a suite of financial products—including a private label card, two co-branded Nordstrom VISA credit cards, and a debit card tailored for Nordstrom purchases—seamlessly integrated with a loyalty program that drives engagement, rewards repeat behavior, and strengthens the customer relationship.
The creation of the Nordstrom Bank application was a highly collaborative, cross-functional effort. With diverse internal stakeholders—including legal, credit marketing, and banking leadership—each with unique priorities, we established a clear information hierarchy that guided the revision cycle and streamlined the approval process. The result was a cohesive, user-focused design system that not only communicated the company’s financial responsibilities clearly but also created an engaging, intuitive experience. This design solution expanded the brand relationship from retail into the financial domain, deepening customer engagement while reinforcing trust and transparency.
