Grouparchitect is an award-winning architecture studio based in the Seattle area. Founded in 2003, the firm has experienced sustained growth—expanding its internal team and leading high-profile projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Today, Grouparchitect operates as a multi-million-dollar practice with expertise spanning custom homes, residential remodels and additions, commercial and mixed-use developments, prefab and modular design, and mission-driven nonprofit projects.

Design Active partnered with Grouparchitect at two pivotal stages of its evolution: first to establish the firm’s foundational brand identity and collateral system, and later to lead a comprehensive website redesign aligned with its expanding market position.

The original identity system was built around clarity, structure, and architectural rigor—leveraging disciplined typography, a refined color palette, and grid-based layouts that reflected the firm’s design methodology. Collateral materials reinforced professionalism and craft, positioning GA as both visionary and detail-oriented.

In 2014, we reimagined the digital experience to support the firm’s next phase of growth. The responsive website was designed with a user-centered framework, ensuring seamless performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Interactive components enhanced project exploration, while streamlined navigation improved discoverability across diverse service offerings.

Portfolio presentation became the focal point of the platform. Large-format, high-resolution professional photography showcased the firm’s architectural precision, material sensibility, and contextual integration. Clean layouts and restrained typography allowed the work to speak for itself—projecting confidence and design authority.
