Traver Gallery
William Traver Gallery is an internationally recognized fine art gallery specializing in contemporary studio glass and Pacific Northwest artists. Representing globally celebrated luminaries such as Preston Singletary, Dale Chihuly, and Lino Tagliapietra, the gallery operates at the intersection of craft, fine art, and cultural storytelling.
Our engagement focused on developing a cohesive, scalable collateral system spanning direct mail, print and digital advertising, exhibition postcards, and environmental poster signage. The objective was to create a unified visual communications framework that could flex across diverse media—glass, painting, sculpture, and mixed media—while maintaining a consistent and elevated brand presence.
Given the materially rich and visually arresting nature of the artwork, high-resolution photography became the hero of the system. We designed an editorial-inspired layout structure anchored by a non-traditional grid, allowing each piece to dictate its own framing—whether through immersive full-bleed imagery or intentional cropping to highlight texture, translucency, and form. This flexible compositional approach elevated the artwork while reinforcing the gallery’s curatorial authority.
Typography and copy were intentionally restrained. Essential exhibition information—artist, dates, and title—was presented with clarity and hierarchy, leveraging negative space as an active design element. The result was a minimalist yet dynamic system that balanced sophistication with accessibility, engaging collectors and patrons while positioning the gallery as both culturally significant and visually progressive.
The final identity framework unified print and digital touchpoints, strengthened brand consistency, and created a refined platform capable of evolving with each exhibition season.
